What if we tried something. Only speaking love to others and trying, in a joint effort, to heal our world? Not gossiping or saying anything negative? Just spreading love.

My prayer group often trie differnet types of homework. One summer we worked on the frutis of the spirit. Each week we'd take another fruit and try to focus on it. What we learned was that if we always acted with love, we could typically cover all the other fruits. They are,

love
joy
peace
gentleness
kindness
goodness
faithfulness
self-control
patience

I think that's right.

It was an interesting finding. Love conquers all.

My son and I love to do the "pay it forward" type things like paying the next person's bus fare etc.

Has anyone ever done things like that and if so, doesn't it make you feel wonderful!

I have a "smile card" that I haven't used yet, but it's a great concept -- experiments in anonymous kindness. You do something nice for someone and leave the card with the hope that they will "pay it forward."

Yes, I've paid tolls and put money in parking meters and I can say I haven't done nearly enough!

I have them too We love using them! We used to leave a quarter on the bus with a card and hoped that the person who received it would do something for the next person.

You have done a lot - look how many people you shared the information about the site with!

My dad taught us to pay tolls for people behind us. I used to get so excited wondering what the people were thinking when they were waved through, knowing that a total stranger treated them. Probably made their day and gave them something to talk about.
