Dianne, this porn thing does seem to be more of an issue due to the internet. I'm not as much concerned about the adults as I am our youth. Think about how hard it was for guys to sneak a Playboy magazine into the house. And that was only a magazine. Now they have graphic movies at their fingertips. Is there a way to get this stuff off the internet?

Dotsie, I too am concerned about our children. I have a filter on my internet and still, without any effort at all on my part, I am spammed with porn sites.

You don't have to do a darned thing. Just get your email and it's there waiting for you. To a greater and greater degree it's on billboards and on TV.

The media seems intent upon destroying any particle of innocence that might remain in our society. It can never be replaced and it makes me sad to see it go away.

Hi Smilinize and Dotsie: One thing that might help, although I am not sure it will be better than your filter, is this: go to www.download.com and download for free Spybot and AdWare SE. Both of these cleaned and keep my computer clean. Knock wood......Sue [Mad]

I have yahoo eamil and spam goes automatically to bulk mail except occasionally it gets through to my regular email. The subject line of the porn sites are often misleading and I have opened a couple which seemed to inspire more to my regular email for a while. Now I just don't open anything unless I know who it is coming from.

The photos were disgusting, but nothing horrible for an adult. However, I can imagine a child who sees them would be shocked and maybe curious enough to want to see more.

I value whatever innocence I have remaining and I don't appreciate someone I don't even know trying to corrupt it. I abhor the thought of someone trying to corrupt the innocence of my grandchildren, all of who are quickly becoming more computer savy than I am.

Thanks Chatty Lady, Dotsi and Julie G for thanking me for posting. It felt very nice to be welcomed as I am new to this and a little shy.

Dotsi, I think we are related (kind of). My sister is married to B. Francis, your cousin. My sister Mary tells me we have met several times. Is that really you? [Smile]

Hi Sue, how cool is that? Related sorta? Yes, Bill is my cousin. His mom was one of my favorite aunts. When I graduated from 8th grade a good friend of mine and I visited her in Florida for a month. We had the time of our lives. We met a whole neighborhood of fun kids. I hope you'll continue to hang out in this neighborhood!

chatty, I have all kinds of walls and programs, but because I have a site for "women"...you should see all the trash I get. DELETE, DELETE, DELETE!

All of the above makes me cringe, however, how you been to the Malls lately? There's plenty of porn there. When did wearing nylon undergarments become fashionable to wear on the outside? And since when is wearing blue jeans that expose your belly button and midrif not considered indecent? And the boys aren't much better. Wearing their pants around the crack of their butt? What's up (no pun intended) with that? Where are the parental controls for these dressers? Some would argue that those are small things AND that dressing this way or that doesn't influence anyone else.

Yeah? Tell that to the sex predators that are seeking out our children.

Jaw Jaw when you're right, you're right and I agree its discusting. I was devastated the first time I attended my new church and saw the discusting way not only some of the kids dressed but the women as well. I saw see-through blouses with halter tops, short shorts and pants so low cut their butt cracks were half exposed and this in Church. I'm sorry but no matter what religion one is, Gods house is Gods house and these idiots were dressed to be poolside...Things haver not changed for the better, not only have women disgarded their girdles but they have disgarded their good sense, and self pride along with their underwear....The adults still teach by example, good or bad!!! On this issue of the way kids are dressing....last night we went to a movie. When it was over and we were walking out...you know, up the ramp and into the lighted lobby, two women were in front of us. They were dressed like Britney Spears: skin tight short pants, tight halter tops with little spagetti straps, belly buttons showing, rolls of fat hanging over the pant's waist band, slip on shoes with high heels...

Why am I mentioning this? Each woman weighed at least 220 pounds and they were in their 40's. What a sight! Those clothes don't look good on 16 year olds, much less 40 year olds. What ever happened to common sense? [Razz] suepitts2001@yahoo.com
