Some people might be grossed out by this topic, but it exists, so why not? My mom had IBS and we teased her about knowing where every public toilet was located. We told her she should write a book called CANS ACROSS AMERICA. We thought she could rate them and share a few words about each one. Anyone want to take our idea and RUN with it? RUN...get it? I bet it would be a best seller. Anytime I'm in the company of women and this topic comes up...everyone has a story! I have one from today. While driving home from the beach with my 2 sons and one of their friends I had to go. I was praying to come upon a place as quickly as possible. By the grace of God I saw the outlet center, turned right, found a Subway, pulled in the no parking zone, announced to my son that he could move the car if need be. I, oh so casually... for the sake of the 3 boys, jumped out and quickly entered the Subway. I had already decided that if someone was in the ladie's room I was hitting the mens'. Fortunately, it was empty and CLEAN! How's that for a woman who doesn't even have IBS? I was geting scared and with the boy's chatter about today being Friday the 13th. my mind started thinking...yeah, this could be pretty rotten. Sorry, just had to get in on the action.

So, Char, what happened between that mom and daughter after the poor little thing ran into the bathroom? How horrible!
What a lovely coffee table book--CANS ACROSS AMERICA. It would make a lovely gift, don't you think? Big bold black title, glossy pics, quality paper pages, in hardback w/jacket cover only. Perhaps only black and white photos to give it a more artsy feel and up its sophistication level. I know I want one for Christmas....hahahahaa! Can you imagine the shock (except on Dotsie's mom's face) of the person receiving this beautifully giftwrapped book for Christmas?

I had an ex who would tell me to "get over it" and some pretty embarrassing things happened. He wouldn't stop for nothing!!
My sweet Steve tho, when I say I need a bathroom he knows it means NOW and he will find one for me. I have been known to throw away perfectly good underwear and thank God I am wearing dark clothes! It is miserable!

Oh my gosh, Kathryn! No one has ever once in my whole long-legged life called me an OCD Queen. Hang on a minute while I sterilize my tiarra... You have NO idea what public bathrooms do to me. It's a nightmare. I hate, hate, hate them. First of all, the idea of so much as breathing the germs sends me into a tizzy, much less actually touching something in there. I try to open everything with paper towels... not actually touching anything. I'm always amazed at how people can wash their hands and then touch the germy door handles with their bare hands. But, the public bathrooms are inevitable for me as God gave me a bladder the size of a mustard seed. Wanna know what else I hate??? Shopping carts! They are just big old travelling germ fests. Oh Lord. Just talking about this makes me want to take a shower. And by the way, I will now demand that my family refers to me as the OCD Queen. I think I like that.

lol--any suggestions?
You know it's kinda funny, now that I don't have to worry about someone stopping, I do pretty good. I always always have Imodium with me! Check out where the bathrooms are first thing too. Ahhhhh, my body gets me one way or another when it comes to stress!

I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice from the other stall saying: "Hi, how are you?" I'm not the type to start a conversation in the restroom but I don't know what got into me, so I answered, somewhat embarrassed, "Doin' just fine!"
And the other person says: "So what are you up to?"
What kind of question is that? At that point, I'm thinking this is too bizarre so I say:
"Uhhh, I'm like you, just traveling!" At this point I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question. "Can I come over?" Ok, this question is just too weird for me but I figured I could just be polite and end the conversation. I tell them , "No........I'm a little busy right now!!!" Then I hear the person say nervously...
"Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions!!!"
