I'm finding the couples who are my kids' age when they marry for the first time (late 20's and early 30's) that they are not afraid to do something unique that reflects their interests and personalities. I had a beautiful wedding, but it was very much the way my mother wanted it.

It really is a nice idea ...I wish someone had done it for me..

Jackie...my wedding was like yours...beautiful...but definitely my Mother's party...which was a good thing though...my mother had terrific taste and loved to plan parties...all I could think about was going on my Honeymoon to Bermuda with my Hunky new husband... [Smile] 21 seems like a verrrrry long time ago... [Smile]

My mother's ideas produced the wedding I wanted, too. I wouldn't have changed a thing. If I ever have another career, I'd spend it as a party planner. It's a talent I inherited from Mom.
