Hi,Yonuh: Are you talking about the type that we used to clip to our shoes? Now, that is really going waaaay back. For some reason, it brought to mind some sentimental longing for that small dot that lingered when the TV was turned off. Don't ask...just does...and loving it.

Yes, those. The other thing we used to do with them was put a large book on the skate, sit on the book, and go whizzing down the hill next to our house. How I never broke my neck I will never know! I did take a few spills and cracked my tail bone a time or two, but it never stopped me.

And not only the small dot but also the test pattern if you turned on the TV before the day's programming started!!

Wow.

Yeah, it is Wow. And no remote control. In second grade, my classmate's sister wheeled down the school hall with those skates. More than banged her knee...principal was angry, too.

That was what we did for the Featured Author thread for October, wasn't it? If you want to read the entire story, it's at http://www.boomerwomenspeak.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=48;t=000036

That was so much fun...there are still dents in my carpet from so much ROTFL!

Good Morning, one and all. We're back!!! How was 4th of July? Hope all went well, the band played on and no burnt barbecues. We had a two-day heatwave in London where temps reached 32C. Yep. That's the UK version of a heatwave.

Hey there Lola! We had an uneventful 4th which is the way I like it. Lots of food, fun, and air conditioning...

This is the first year no one from our family went to the town parade. Kinda sad, huh?

Anyone do anything exciting for the 4th? We exercised in the morning, vegged in the afternoond, then went into the city to walk around and have dinner. We were home before the fireworks hit the sky.
