There is a man who on TV shows other people how to make money discovering people that have money sitting somewhere and don't know about it. I went to one of their seminars and its fairly easy but extremely time consuming. YOU are the owner of the cash and don't need anyone there to help you get it or get it for you. Go to the courthouse and forget this man and retrieve your money. He is working for the commission. If you tell your husband about the money its your fault if he takes any of it, and you know he will.
Put it in a safety deposit box and SWALLOW THE KEY LOL...Really he or no one else need know of this cash. Its a gift from your dead loving husband so hang tight to it and screw this jerk who's been making your life miserable, he deserves nothing of that money...

I am not eligible for the property that my husband inherited from his mother now that we are filing for a Legal Separation.
I have a feeling you just might be OK on this.
I had no idea there was a law out there like that, but sure found out when I tried to get half of the property.

Here are some websites that address the issue of inherited funds as marital property in divorce cases in Florida. It appears that inheritances are excluded from marital property there, but it seems very important that the funds NOT be co-mingled with marital funds.

Of course this is the internet and it certainly does not eliminate the need to get legal advice.

Chatty.......oh yeh.......I have an attorney who's really up with everything.
The property was willed to my soon to be ex and his brother from their mother.
His brother signed over 2 acres of the 30 acres to us, so he then built "his place."
That was really the end of the marriage. Another story.
Anyway, I have no claim to that other 28 acres.
I did ask for 1/2 the money that "we" paid for improvements to that property, and half of the money from the logging that was done on the property. I'm getting that!
