Hello,
Here is my problem. I wrote three articles for a website. Two were features. When it came time for payment they wanted to send me $40,000 dollars. I was to take my share and pay the other writers. When I refused, the trouble began.
I would let it go, but they owe me over $100.00 dollars. I have written them several times, and have gotten phone calls that I don't understand because they have a dialect...I gave them till this week, and then I told them I would take some kind of action.
I was wondering if anyone knew who I could talk to about this matter. I live in Canada.
Any advice would be highly appreciated. I just want what they owe me, I think I deserve it.

Amber-I recently wrote a collection letter for a friend bc someone owed her a lot of money and he set up payment arrangements after he recieved the letter. I just want to thank all of you for your advice and suggestions.
I think the last suggestion is great. If I could have all your support that would be great. The site is called Elite.Corner. I have already met a man online who is having problems with them as well.
We are in contact. He is waiting for a payment. I personally don't think he will get it..but we will see. The site is hard to find....if you have problems let me know....

At first, I didn't understand why they would give you $40,000 and ask you to pay all of their other writers. And then it occurred to me they could send you a worthless check for $40,000 - you deposit the money, pass along the rest to the other writers and suddenly checks start bouncing on your account.
No reputable company, even a company overseas, would ask a writer to be their payroll agent. Even if they never pay you the $100, and I really hope they do, by turning them down you probably saved yourself a lot of trouble and aggravation.

Hello,
How smart you are Joni. I would not have thought of that....It is probably what they do...or worse....lol. I have not heard from them in a while now. I am in contact with another man that they owe money too. They told him he won some bogus contest! He is under the impression that he will get paid...poor sucker...I tried to tell him that he will probably never see a dime, but he is hanging on. He will let me know. They must be doing this to a lot of people. I hope they go down in a big way....I just wish I could get what they owe me first....lol.
Thanks everyone.....I am glad I got out...but they still have three of my articles on the site....grrrrr.
