Hey, Gals-I wondered if y'all could tell me how to get my name out there with writers for preparation, including editing and typing of manuscripts, essays, articles, etc. for submission? Any ideas? Thanks!

Can you put an ad in your local paper? Sometimes getting the word out through church bulletins can help. Do you belong to any local networking groups? How about searching the internet for writing sites and sending emails to the contact person recommending your services?

Think about what you do on a daily basis and try to discover ways to promote to the people you are already involved with.

Hi Happy,
There are writers e-zines that post announcements such as yours. Writer Gazette is one that comes to mind immediately. I think they let you post an announcement for free. WritersWeekly.com has some good marketing and promotion articles as well. And I like Dotsie's advice about thinking about what you do on a daily basis and discovering ways to promote to the people you are already involved with. Most of all, believe in yourself. I failed in that area and didn't do much promotion on my novel.
