I just heard from my publisher that my novel is printed and my author copy is on the way. With my approval, orders can then be fulfilled. I'm guessing this will happen by November 1st. I wrote the first draft of DEGREES OF OBSESSION in 1994, then put it on a high shelf in the closet, thinking it wasn't "good enough". But in 2001, with encouragement from a former high school teacher, I started taking writing classes, joined a critiquing group, and began the first of many re-writes. After a year of pursuing traditional publishing, I decided to go with Print On Demand a few months ago. I figured out how to create a website, studied internet marketing, and now...ta-dah! Even if I sell only one copy, I will have fulfilled my dream to use these midlife years to plumb the depths and find my creative center. I hope that sharing my creative journey will complement the knowledge I can share as a psychologist and encourage midlife women to pursue their dreams. Karen
