I recently purchased 2 Chicken soup titles:
CS for the Writer's Soul
CS for the Latino Soul

I submitted for the CS for the writer's soul. Two of my friends are in it, but they received $300 for their story and nothing else. So while they were at Borders signing book after book, they were receiving zip in royalties. I'm sure it's a good idea for writers to have their works published, but I'm not a big fan of the CS business practices.

My opinion - Raven West

Raven, do the writers have a choice about doing the book signings? Is it expected of them?
