Dear Sherri,

WHY?

What's the purpose? How much time will it take and what do you hope to be the return on your investment? Your investment of yourself, your energy, your knowledge, your time, etc.

I say no to a newsletter and yes to an e-magazine. I'm partnering with another woman now to start an e-magazine and we're planning it so it will be a nice additional income.

I've put out newsletters for years and they are nice...to receive...but they cost an incredible amount to send. I'm on a lot of newsletter lists and love them all but what does the newsletter writer get from me in return?

I've bought a book from JJ; as to the others, I've not purchased anything from them...yet and may never.

Just my two cents with change left over and sorry to be the wet blanket.

I need to add a friendly "Sandra is making a good point here". Everything we do takes resources, be it time, energy, finances, etc.

[Confused] How will you benefit from this? Will you be branding yourself as an expert in any specific field? Will this generate sales for you? Do you have short and long term goals for this?

[Smile] I'm not trying to be a dream-crusher. It's more like a word of caution. If there's an attainable goal for this, it is well worth the effort, so weigh the pros and cons and "Go for it".

Also, have you prayed about this? One thing I try to remind myself about is the need to be good stewards of the resources God allows us to manage, so it is our duty to consider all aspects and plan for them.

I wish you the best, dear Sherri.

Oh gosh...I'm not meaning to be a dream crusher either...just want you to do something that will utilize your resources to the best. From someone who has been a professional volunteer for *years* and seen the $$$ fly OUT the door and not IN the door...nevermore. Now I do what makes me money and then I donate to people, organizations, etc. that appeal to my heart.
