Have to share that I wrote 1700 words yesterday which for me is a minor miracle - especially as the entire family was home. I just let the cooking and washing happen around me and wrote. Strangely enough, although I have a bit of time and solitude this morning I'm having trouble settling...I'm really not a morning person! ![[Big Grin]](images/icons/grin.gif)

Wow that's really great Julie. I had trouble writing this past weekend and am hoping to lift myself out of this rut very soon because I have a lot of projects that need my attention. Angel PS If you need some writing projects I'm sure I could send you a few

Hope you'll find the time you need - and I hope that I can repeat yesterday. All I did this morning was send out some poetry. Putting off re-reading yesterday's effort in case I hate it! Hope to do some editing this evening. What are you working on?

Congrats! I can wholeheartedly relate to not finding much writing time. I, too, am not a morning person. I do hope you're able to find more time, and get on a roll.

Julie, I just realized how monumental that is. I spent 6 hours writing today, and all I did was add 400 words to an existing essay. I'm slow and you're aweso ![[Cool]](images/icons/cool.gif) me!

Meredith, that seems like it will be my effort for the entire week...I still haven't re-read it, for fear it will all be dreadful - but I must finish it before Saturday. Maybe tonight! I'm very insecure about prose writing, for some reason. Thanks for the encouragement.

Guess what, I read what I had written, and it wasn't all that bad! I added 500 words to one story and put it in a competition - took the other one raw to a critique session and got great feedback. I'm feeling so happy about it - although this week is filling up with other stuff I am hopeful of having another burst of creativity somewhere along the way. Have you ever noticed that just when you get one part of your life humming along nicely something else breaks down? Isn't it hard to keep everything going?!! (Speaking as a woman, here.) Chatty, I painted my fingernails for the first time in years last weekend. It does slow the typing a little but it a novelty (pun unintended!) for me just now...

1700 words in one day! That's an accomplishment. You're fingers must be worn to the bone. ![[Big Grin]](images/icons/grin.gif) I'd say you they deserve a little nail polish. Way to go! Louisa

Julie,
How great to hear that it is possible to write 1700 words in a day. I keep telling the family and friends that I'm going to move away and live alone for a whole year and do nothing but write! Yeh, right!! Keep going girl, you own it now.

1700 words is great! And then to be satisfied in the effort is even greater! I write on my laptop most of the time.

I'm trying to picture that, Dianne. ![[Eek!]](images/icons/shocked.gif) I can't imagine sitting across the room from the monitor and looking at font the size of an Egyptian. Is it hard to get used to? Is it hard to go back to looking at normal size? I'm remembering someone who did 'write' on their big monitor ( I think it was also their TV ) it was so boggling to me to see that. I'm blind as a *no-eyed bat* without without the *cheaters* ![[Wink]](images/icons/wink.gif) I can't picture myself being more than armslength from what I'm working on. ?? ![[Cool]](images/icons/cool.gif) ??
