Sigrid, you've gotten a lot of great answers to your question. I read lots of authors, with various ratings, sexual content, and even violence. I consider myself a spiritual person with a foundation in Christianity.

I too, don't like reading sex scenes just for the sake of tossing one or two in. They're easy to spot. The same for movies. If the story continues to move on without the scene, it wasn't necessary.
