Oh wow. I would have no problem sending out a manuscript because I know how to write a book. But, this screenplay thing is so new to me and I know I need input and help.

Anyway, I was at a friend's little boutique yesterday and she asked me what I had been doing so I told her working on a screenplay but I was stalled because I needed help since this was my first attempt. I asked her if she happened to know anyone that wrote screenplays that might be able to help me. She said, "Oh Dianne, my first husband is a huge Hollywood tv producer. He fixes scripts all the time!" She started listing all the television shows he'd been involved with. She said she would ask him if he could help me. I got an email this morning and he's asked that I Fed-Ex it to him so he can read it on the plane as he's going to AZ in a few days.

Big opportunity but I'm so nervous. I mean, he might say it sucks and give it up, find another vocation or he might offer helpful information but it's just so scary to send it off.

Please start praying for me. Yikes!

He also might say it's great and could really work and he likes it, too.

Stay positive and think happy thoughts.

I sent it! He'll get it tomorrow morning. He lives in L.A. and is currently working on a new and upcoming sitcom called Neighbors. I know he'll be able to give me some very valuable advice. I should be excited, not nervous but we've discussed sending our babies out and how it makes you feel. Funny, I never went through this with my book. Maybe that's because I had a good editor. But, if he can help me polish it, I'll feel better about sending it out for consideration. It's just scary because he's so high up in the tv industry. I feel naked!
