This week I entered my subscription to about 10(?) writing-related ezines, and went to every single link on each and every one of them, and pretty much read every single word on all of the above.

Plus I went to sites where I'm considering submitting my work, and read every last word there too.

A few months ago it was spyware, and I signed up for all these uber-techie forums, and read every single post and article.

At least I understand all the writing stuff, which is more than I can say for the 7-page "how to fix your computer registry" tomes. [Roll Eyes]

It's like I'm starved for information but I really hope I don't get any new "favorite" topics.

There's way too much to learn in this lifetime.

I agree Meredith. Sometimes I spend to much time studying, and not enough time writing! [Smile]

I feel like I'm riding the horse but not rounding up the cattle, sometimes. I am trying to "steer" myself in the right direction. Information is power, yet time consuming.

Meredith, I subscribe to lots of writer's ezines. I don't read them from top to bottom. I've learn to scan and nab the best information in each one. You will too.

I go through phases like that where I think I'm a sponge and I must absorb all information. Then things will dry up and I'm "normal" again... until I get thirsty for knowledge again.

When I went through my spyware/malware stage, I ran 4 different programs daily to see what evils lurked in my computer. Even my techie friends thought I might have gone overboard. Now I'm down to running them once a week, which seems a little more sane.

As for the writing zines, one of my goals for February was to submit my work to a variety of publications. In order to decide which ones they would be, I wanted to read all of them, their submission policies etc. so I found the best match. As for the how-to sites, I've already discovered that at least half of the info repeats weekly.

Knowledge is so important to me, and by extension, research. I'm like that in all areas of my life.
