Ladies, Question....

I'm sure you are all aware of the anthologies out there in the book world...like The Chicken Soup series, the Cup of Comfort...etc...My question is this...

Do you personally think the book market is saturated with anthologies or do you still enjoy purchasing and reading them?

I'm just curious...and thanks!

JJ

Good Question, JJ! I personally think that anthologies are over-rated and have reached the saturation point; however, if the topic is interesting and adds to my life in some way--maybe..

If you wrote one with a new or different slant it would work. Question is: What slant? With your personality, you could do one with humor. Your humor for 365 days would be awesome! Take little stories you've heard and put a humorous tone to them. That's my two cents anyway.

Thanks girls...I was mainly asking because I was curious about how you felt when you see them at the bookstore and if you enjoyed reading them. Seems they are all so much alike. I agree with you Dianne...there needs to be something different out there. Hey...like BOOMER WOMEN SPEAK! HA!

But I also agree with Toni that if I see one and I think it holds something for me and my interest, then I'd probably buy it. But soooo many of them are selling the same things. I just wanted to know if it's just me, or if you all felt the same way.

Thanks for your inputs,

JJ

I agree with Dianne. Your humor times 365 would be awesome. (No kidding!)
