Was notified the other day my review submitted to Midwest Book Review (for Sue Silverman's book "Because I Remember Terror, Father, I Remember You,") was accepted and is now on the website. That's the second review they accepted from me.

Sue's work is mentioned on Dotsie's links page. That's how I first came across it and decided to order it from B&N. Sue is a fellow member of the IWWG. If you haven't read her book, you should. It is very well written.

I'll have to go find the link to my review in case anyone wantd to read it, but offhand I'd guess it's www.midwestbookreview.com

I'll go check.

garrie

Okay, I'm back. Here's the exact URL:

http://www.midwestbookreview.com/rbw/aug_04.htm

Mine is the 6th (I think) review under "Reviewers Recommend" -- scroll down.

I did notice a couple of typos, though -- a set of dashes missing and the word "to" omitted. I hate that. Oh well. There it is. Bye!

Oh Garrie, I love Sue Silverman! I made the mistake of loaning my copy of this book to a friend and haven't seen it since.

She's such a talented writer. I understand she has another book on sex addiction, no doubt caused by what her father did to her.

She's a rare talent and your review was very well done. Congrats [Smile]

Garrie,
I enjoyed your review. You had mentioned this previously so I visited the site where the book was and thoroughly enjoyed the short read there. I knew I wanted to read her book. So tonight when I visited Barnes & Noble, I stood there beating my head up against the book shelves trying to remember her name, the title of the book, ANYTHING! no could do...so I ended up buying the sequel to Diane Amos's book Getting Personal; which is Mixed Blessings. It's a light-hearted read, but I still want to get Ms Silverman's book. There...I wrote it down! Maybe I can remember it now...

Garrie, great review!

Sue submitted for my book on the subject of her other book, sexual addiction. What a great woman.

She's doing a wonderful service by writing her stories. I bought her book when you mentioned earlier that you were reading it. I haven't gotten to it yet, but plan to soon. I've got a few books going already. Anyone else do that? Always a research book, fun book, and book about faith. I guess this goes in the FINANCE forum, but my weakness is books. [Eek!] God help me!

I know many of you are avid readers too. That's why I made the contest prize for August a $20.00 gift certificate to a book store. [Razz]

Great job, Garrie: I'm always interested in reviews and I do reviewing also. If you like it, check with writerscrossing.com or fictionaddiction.net - both places I review for. Many times they are looking for new reviewers.

Thanks everybody. [Smile]

Oh, and Dots -- haven't lost a nail in my keyboard yet. That's O.T., I know, but just thought I'd mention it. [Razz]

Oops. Didn't know that thing stuck out it's tongue!

Congratulations on your review. Every little bit of exposure certainly helps! I have a review on Pam's Book "Mystery of David's Bridge" posted on Amazon.com.
