Actress/motivational speaker/breast cancer advocate, Marcia Wallace (Carol on The Bob Newhart Show) "re-invented myself for the seven thousandth time" and became an author. Her book, Don't Look Back We're Not Going That Way, “or how I overcame a rocky childhood, a nervous breakdown, breast cancer, widowhood, fat, fire and menopausal motherhood and still manage to count my lucky chickens” is a survivor's tale.

In her conversation, Marcia will talk about how her book was rejected by publishers - again and again, how her long road to self-publishing her book really paid off, and why it was one of the best decisions she ever made.

I'm guessing you've read her book. DId you enjoy it? Can you tell us a little about it? She sounds like an amazing woman.

Sounds like a great call for those who want to self-publish. I find it amazing that someone like her couldn't get a traditional publisher. That just goes to show you how hard it is.

Not only have I read Marcia's book from cover to cover - I admire Marcia greatly. I have gotten to know her as a person - and you simply wouldn't believe the horror stories she was put through regarding the publishing world and her book.

Really and truly, she thought self-publishing her book was her last resort and it turned out to be one of her greatest career sucesses.

But, her story as to how a "top personality" was treated and in a sense cast aside is really worthy of a People magazine article. As she has done with everything in her life - beat cancer, bankruptcy, losing two homes to fires, and being widowed - Marcia is a great lady.

I really hope many of the Boomer Women join in on this call. Marcia has never done a teleseminar before, and I think the intimacy and the inspiration she will share will really be worth it.

I saw Marcia interviewed on TV once about her life and her book. I bought and read the book anf highly recommend it to everyone. She touches on aspects of life we have all encountered at one time or another. I alway thought she would be someone super to meet and sit and visit with.

Well there you go cahtty. I've been on these calls and they are very personal. You almost feel like you're sitting in your own home iwth the women.

Wow! What an inspiration she must be! I'd like to know more.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I've had to miss the last two Spirited Woman's teleconferences. Boo hoo! I leave on the 12th of July to go South for a speaking gig, so I think I will get to make this one.

I'm so excited to think I could actually be on a call with Marcia Wallace. You all will have to gag me, taped up my mouth, threaten me within an inch of my life, just to silence me and get a word in edgewise.

She is a beloved comedian and humorist. Beloved by the world and especially ME! Lord, I can't wait...

I have always loved Marcia and think she's one of the funniest women out there (beside our beloved JJ). I ordered her book yesterday and am excited to read it. My problem with the teleconference is knowing if I'm going to actually be here when it happens.
