Hey gals, I am back. I know. You never knew I left, but like Mom always said, "you don't tell the neighborhood when you go away." Especially since we left our two seniors home alone for the night.

Ross and I went to NY to attend my niece's college graduation. Very wild and I will tell you more about it, but I am running because we have a dinner celebration tonight for my daughter who is graduating high school in a couple weeks. Her school does a gib shindig for the faculty, students and parents.

I missed catching up yesterday and today. I feel out of the loop, but will get back tomorrow morning.

Okay, I'm back.

The graduation was WET!. She graduated from Columbia University and their graduation is outside, rain or shine. And it rained! And just when you thought it couldn't rain harder, it did. It was unbelievable.

I was so proud of her. It was so much fun to be among so many young, vibrant young adults. Our future leaders!

Senator John McCain spoke at the graduation and boy did he have a political agenda. I don't care if you're a democrat or a republican, you shouldn't use a graduation speech for political purposes. It should have been about the kids. Here's a link to an artilce about it:

Anyway, we went to the Boat House restaurant in Central Park for dinner. It was lovely, and no more expensive than the restaurants in our town. I was surprised. We were ripped off in many other ways, however, at other places. Like 4.95 for a little cup of decaf and 4.95 for a little glass of diet soda! Anyway, after dinner all 13 of us walked out of the park. It was a beautiful night. The rain was far gone!

I also had a meeting with an editor while I was there. I will give you the whole scoop on that in a few weeks.

Dotsie...glad you had a great time in the "Big Apple"...I hear you about graduation Keynote Speakers with Political Agendas...I sat through one last May when my middle daughter graduated from College...and it made me so uptight I had a tummy ache when it was over....but the party afterward made up it!!!
