chatty lady Writer Registered: 02/24/04 Posts: 20267 Loc: Nevada	Remember when we were discussing Christmas and white elephant gifts etc. well that was six short months ago and here we are 'hot' under the collar from summer again. What is your favorite time of the year, and why? I'll start...I love spring, fall and winter living here in the desert because those months are usually cool, breezy and always sunny and bright. Summer is TOO darn hot and not worth anything....But I'd say nine perfect months out of twelve isn't bad! Next!!! [ June 01, 2006, 11:28 PM: Message edited by: chatty lady ]

Oh to live in a place with 9 months of the year being sunny and bright! New Zealand is such a long narrow country we get lots of wind!! And cold biting chilly winds too. June 21st will be the shortest day for us, is it your longest? Our weather is coldest July/August. Mind you here I sit this morning and the sky is blue and the air, while a tad chilly, is calm. So for me I love summer! But of course the most picturesque are spring and autumn.

I gave birth in the middle of one in 1974...so they don't affect my "likes." But here in the deep south we have one kind of weather....HUMIDITY. That's about it. But Lord help me, I love this place... JJ

I love the 100 degree days. At that temperature, the humidity burns off and it's just pure dry hot sun. Warms me up inside and out. smile

However, spring and fall are my favorites. Winter's too cold, and the older I get...summer gets too hot, but I much prefer summer to winter. I begin wearing spring/summer clothes as earlyas possible. Then I wear them as late as possible. Smile, the humidity doesn't burn off here in Baltimore. Once it begins, it's here to stay...and it's beginning.

flossie Member Registered: 03/02/06 Posts: 166 Loc: New Zealand	Oh Chatty, I'm coming. My husband and I loved Las Vegas, weve been there twice and both times we enjoyed the weather as well as the sights. It was September/October. Do you go to alot of the shows? What a great place to live.
