I lit my candle in the dining room last night. Unfortunately, I have pictures and plants on my windowsills so the inside has to do.

Chatty, you never cease to amaze me.

Here's the promoter in me. If you don't mind...please put on your flyers,etc...sponsored by www.boomerwomenspeak.com.

Took a ride last night about 11:45 around the park and am so happy to report I saw at least 200 homes with candles and at the Sunday brunch we have every week here in the rec-room, many others told me they were buying their candles today....This tragedy is in the hearts and minds of all of us and this is such a small thing to ask to show our unity....

Thanks Dotsie you are too kind....I do have another idea for everyone. Call the Editor of the local newspapers in you area and tell them the Boomers are starting this movement nation wide and would like them to be instrumental in relaying it to the public in whatever town you reside in....Most will be happy to oblige. Ask they also print a warning to use fake candles or be careful with real ones around curtains and children.....

Like Chatty I too did a "survey" last night to see how many candles/lights I spied in our neighborhood. As I walked around I was happy to see quite a few. It appeared most all people used electric candles from their Christmas decoration collection which is what I did.

I have one burning on my counter right now. It's a gentle reminder of other's suffering, and a reminder to give thanks in all things!

I'll get mine going on both sides of my front door. What a great idea.

I lit the candle this morning while doing the typical morning chores. It's a wonderful reminder to continue praying for our leaders and the hurricane victims.

I'm so thankful that all of you are supporting this. I hope we can get the word out to others.

Blessings, Francine
