Howdy All, I'm a little late chiming in on this thread, but better late than never, right? I don't know how imaginative my online name is, it just says what I do, basically. A few months after my husband passed away, I started my own copywriting business, hence--copygal. All of you have great screen names. JawJaw, I love yours. We had a pastor at our old church, who used to have the most marvelous Georgia accent. There's no way I can write the way he pronounced the word coffee, use your imagination, but he made it into at least a long, slow 4 syllables. I always looked forward to him inviting us all the visitor's coffee after the service. Anyway, you're all very creative.

I'm a scuba instructor (part time) and Whirlwind came from a dive trip when I was running a check out trip in Florida with quite a few people. I was running around one morning like a chicken with my head cut off (a real southern saying there), and somebody said I was a real Whirlwind. Everybody ended up calling me that for the entire weekend (nicknames are great fun on dive trips). Well, for some reason it stuck. I'm called Whirlwind or WW even by people I work with now.
Of course, WW also stands for Wrong Way. All I'll say is, it wasn't my fault! LOL...

I love horses and Ford Mustangs! Thus, MustangGal! I presently drive my 4th Mustang and could not entertain another vehicle model! Well, except Jag!

Great stories, all! JawJaw, I especially like yours. And Smilinize, what a sweetie you have for a husband.
My story is unremarkable compared to everyone else's. Katrinka is just a feminine form of my old curmedgeonly cat. His name is Katrinko.
Looking forward to reading more stories about your names. Marie

I picked mine because I have spent the worst six years of my life (dad's alzheimer's, his death, my brother's suicide) while trying to write my book. I didn't think I would ever really finsish it. I wasn't sure I would even stick around after my brother shot himself...but I did...and it's in print. It's about seeing something through inspite of everything going so wrong. Maybe I should change it to something else since so many of us are writers. I should call myself "Still Crazy After All These Years!" hugs sister girls.

Deb the author, Just my two cents, but I just couldn't keep quiet after reading your post. I think you should keep your screen name to remind yourself all that you have attained. BTW...CONGRATS!
