I was born and raised there. I left at 18 and returned when I was 35 and stayed 10 years. I have been in the US for 7 years, getting to know my lost relatives.
I know of Newhooks in Green's Harbour Trinity Bay. There is also the famous Captain Bob Bartlett - any relation? Another boomer has connections to him.
We traced our newfoundland ancestors back to Tipperary Ireland on Mom's side. I am Cherokee on my Dad's.
