I just want to say hello to everyone...the name is aquamarine, but you may all call me "aqua" for short! ![[Smile]](images/icons/smile.gif) I am looking to heal myself, and my inner child from the abuse I have suffered repeatedly, throughout my life. Only the strong, SURVIVE...and I am tired of just existing, and muddling in life...I want to LIVE, LOVE, and LAUGH...and just feel like ME, again. sure...I am 45, and basically, I am suffering from "empty pitcher syndrome"~nothing left of myself to offer, and I feel so alone, and feel like a failure even though I KNOW otherwise, and I was diagnosed with severe depression, and anxiety just about 3 years ago...I am engaged for 2 years, and live with my fiance, in Wisconsin. We are both self employed in our respective fields, he is a mechanic, and can do just about anything from farming, to custom fabrication welding...and I have started my own commercial/residential cleaning service 3 months ago...it keeps me busy, and helps pay the bills! If there's anything else you want to know, just ask! [ August 04, 2005, 06:23 PM: Message edited by: aquamarine ]

Dear Aqua, thank you for giving so much of yourself in your first few posts. I can assure you that you have come to a great place to fill you up with hope and healing. I too was diagnosed with anxiety/depression and I am much recovered. Well, meds help a lot too, as well as friends and faith. You will find that here, too. My birthstone is aquamarine. Such a beautiful image comes to mind with your screen name! Love and Light, Lynn

Nancy50, your comment means so much to me. Thank you. I am rewarded that your found help & inspiration from my book! Aqua, that is outrageous to get banned from a SUPPORT site by a 17 year old hall monitor. You're welcome here, new boomer sister. Love and Light, Lynn

Aqua, Your words stopped me in my tracks. I sure recognize the syndrome. Usually guilty of handling sadness/stress (or any number of other emotions, for that matter) through flippancy or even caustic humor, I am reminded that sometimes, if you simply, seriously, reach out you can find real help and comfort. Ladies, your answers to aqua are truly comforting and inspiring.

Yah Aqua -- maybe you should use some creative advertising for your business: For the person in your life who has everything, the gift of time is most precious. Treat (Mom, wife, best friend) to a clean house. Call Aquamarine Housecleaning... Life is short. Hire a housecleaner, and have some fun! You can use them if you like ![[Wink]](images/icons/wink.gif)

Welcome Aqua -
I believe it was Corrie ten Boom who said, "our attitudes are our own" and if she didn't she should have! She was a Dutch woman who was wrongfully imprisoned in a WWII concentration camp; both her father and sister died in the camp. Yet, she came out of the darkness into the light and spent the rest of her life "tramping for the Lord" as she liked to say. Remarkable woman, incredible story.
But then remarkable women always have incredible stories, don't we?! ggg --- because I don't know how to do those cute little smiley faces...
Welcome, and again I say welcome! You're in great company here...these forums are FULL of incredible women.

Hey Aqua, Welcome. Both of my parents are from Wisconsin and I have an aunt and some cousinns still there. The Boomer women are here to help and to heal! I know they helped me when I needed it. JJ, I think you should leave the poetry to Meredith! ![[Wink]](images/icons/wink.gif) You are the funny one... Remember? [ August 12, 2005, 11:28 AM: Message edited by: TVC15 ]

Hello Aqua! I love your call name! I'm sorry for the abuse you've encountered and suffered in life. But I do agree with Dianne. Never let circumstances define you. You are special no matter what happens to you. And there is always hope for a better future. You've come to the right place. I'm sorry I didn't post sooner, been mighty busy. But I'll have you on my prayer list. I do pray you find hope, inspiration, and courage to go on. This forum is a very special place and I pray you enjoy sharing here.
Remember you are not alone. You are brave to share your troubles.
Remember, after the rain comes the rainbow.
I wish you success with all your endevours. Blessings and best wishes for a happy and prosperous life.
