Hi there. What a great site! I read about Boomerwomenspeak in the Seattle Times newspaper and had to check it out.

I'm 62, paint on a maintenance crew for the Veterans Hospital in Seattle (for the past 20 years), two grown chidren, a boy and a girl, both out on their own and doing great in their careers, a grandma of two, married three times and in a relationship, but no desire to marry again.

Your topics are so relevant to women of the boomer generation ~ really a breath of fresh air. I'm glad to be here... [Smile]

Hi ho Emerald and welcome. I too have been down the marital road three times and now travel solo and love it. Also two grown sons and three grandkids but I am three years older than you in years only, I think and act 30, and look (thank you God) 40 something. LOL.

Hi Emerald lady, I too am from the Seattle area, Enumclaw. That article in the Times really helped get all us 'other' Washington ladies in here! I am 48 and married 27 years, one 18 year old son and my 'girl' Shadow, a golden retriever. Welcome!

Welcome Emerald!
From Olympia, and more and more of us from Washington State are joining in on this website.
I'm 59, married 41 years in Nov., two dtrs., 4 grandsons. Contemplating divorce, but this group is really helping me set my head straight!
Learning so many things from reading the forums.
Enjoy!

Emerald - welcome aboard the Boomer train! This is a really great place to meet supportive caring women and talk about ANYTHING your heart desires or feels. There's nothing like a spot where you can go, let your hair down, put your feet up, and TALK to lots of other women who will listen and learn along with you.

Glad to have you and anyone else new who I've missed welcoming these last few days! Things are moving along so quickly here that it's tough to keep up with all the "New Boomers". [Wink] [Eek!] [Wink]

Emerald, love your screen name. Welcome! That article you read has been in over 20 papers around the country. Korky Vann writes for the Hartford Courant called me after seeing the BWS mention in Time magazine. She put it on the wire and it looks like everyone loved it. Yippee!

I hope you'll stick around our neighborhood and continue to share in all the forums.
