internet,computer, enrich, curse
these were the last words given....

A computer and the internet,
Enrich many lives,
On that, I am willing to bet.
Yet when mechanics go down,
And the net won't connect,
It'll cause many a face to frown.
If you were raise the same as I,
And unwilling to cry or curse,
Then when the PC stops working,
Or it cannot connect,
It not mere inconvenience,
It's the worst.

New words:
Thankfulness, turkey, trials, trivia

Now what happened to all the poets?

No body has any thankfulness in their heart
for turkey or trials or trivia?

Or are you all too full of stuffing,
to rhyme this time?

Thankfulness, turkey, trials, trivia

Amidst the trials and turmoil
Of a carpe diem day
And tucked into the frayedness
Of life along the way
My heart escapes the trivia
Of the endless list of chores
By glancing at the bounty
And feeling thankfulness galore;
For every dish and every crumb
And every dusty wall
Reminds me of how blessed I am
To have it there at all.

New words: reason, welcome, sister, stay

Tis the season,
don't need any REASON.

To call up my SISTER,
Just to tell her I missed her.

That all I wanted to say,
was would she come visit and STAY.

We visit so seldom,
that in my home she is WELCOME.

So pack up her suitcase and board the plane,
Even though we are big girls we don't need to act sane.

Words: humble, nutroll, peppermint, ornaments

Eagle, great poem there gal.
Chats, love your poem, too.

humble, nutroll, peppermint, ornaments

I love this time of year, you know,
And in my humble way,
I attempt to show,
What Jesus' birth,
Means to me, still this very day.
The roof of our house,
We line with lights,
So delicate, bright and all,
The tree is decorated in ornaments,
Figurines and fancy balls,
Packages are wrapped in pretty designs,
Cards are sent with verses of every kind.
Peppermint canes and nutroll, rolls,
And candies, sweet and tart,
Help celebrate His awesome birth,
Lord 'n Savior of the world, thou art.
He's Lord of my life, and of those I love,
'Tis His time of year my dear,
And hearts do sing and spirits do soar,
From the joy He brings us down here!

New Words,
Pray, love, enjoy, Christmas

Beautiful, Jabber! I love how we weave these somewhat unusual and difficult words (in regard to using in poetry) into such beautiful word-paintings.

Eagle Heart,
And I love your Site Name. Every time I see it, I picture
an eagle, flying high in sky: It's swooping and soaring, so mightily, beautifully, and gloriously made!

Hey Eagle,
I had a thought: Why not use those wings of yours to
fly you out that depressive state of mind. Eagels fly
higher than any other bird. In fact, I think I heard
that they fly into the face of a storm. I do know they're large, strong and have very keen vision!

Eagles are regal, strong, uncorruptable, majestic, beautiful and I think of them as the birds of the Gods. I think you Eagle Heart have those same traits. Jabber I agree 100% and what an amazing idea...

I'm doing everything I know to do to get myself to where I want/need to be. Part of wisdom, I think, is to learn to be patient and compassionate with those wounded parts of oneself that need that extra time to heal. The Lord's in no hurry, He knows what He's doing, we'll get there and when we do, it will be right on time.

Hi Eagle Heart

You are an amazing person and I can read and "hear" the compassion and wisdom in the words you shared with me and with so many on this forum. And I believe you're right about being patient with the wounded parts of ourselves...and I find it isn't always easy to do. For some reason, it seems easier to help others!

On my wedding ring is a Native American style eagle...and one of the meanings is "messenger to the gods" or "carrying prayers to the gods" depending on the tradition and writer. I see you that way...as a prayer warrior and sender of all things Light to God. Your heart is so big and so kind and you deserve all the love and joy you share with so many.

My marriage, and the subsequent drama I shared on the forum, has been one of the events that brought out the wounds to be heald...in both of us. I've been working with a Theta healer the last couple of weeks and have healed many of the wounds more quickly than I had imagined possible.

I don't know if you've ever tried a healing modality such as this or not...or if you would be interested...AND have found it ever so useful in my journey.
