What a great forum you have Dotsie....I'd visited before thanks to Georgia Richardson (Queen JawJaw!) having steered me this way but am just getting around to joining this morning...

I've been writing for a couple of years - my first novel (a mystery) is being published in a few months - meanwhile I have fun writing short stories and poetry to keep myself from getting TOO absorbed in writing my novels.

Georgia loves it here and I'm sure I will too! Lots of great stories, information, and a congenial and helpful atmosphere from what I can tell - so what's not to like???!!!!!

Everyone, you will love this person and she is a very good writer too! Make sure you visit her website and take your time, there's plenty there.

Want to know a secret? I call her Pinky, Pinkie or Pinko sometimes...she is the one I borrowed the phrase "commie pinko" from and then I overused it in everything I wrote for a while until she threaten me if I didn't find something new...course she don't scare da Queen...okay...maybe a little.

Well thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

I am excited about my book Dotsie but as yet, don't know exactly when my publisher (Hilliard & Harris) is planning for its' release. I will be starting the final "edit" soon...I can give you the web address for my publisher and you can SEE my name on the authors list and my book's title on the "New Titles" page BUT there's no info about my book there yet. SOON but not yet. I DO however ( ) have an excerpt from my book on my personal webpage SOOOOOO if anyone wants to see that you are welcome to! Just follow my "MY WRITING" link - and you will find that and some info on the sequel and another book I'm also writing....a fantasy/thriller.

Dotsie, H&H is "considering" my painting of the bridge for the cover but as yet haven't made that final decision. I'm hoping they DO use it though because I think it would be really wonderful to have my OWN artwork on the cover of my first book!

Thanks for the compliments on my paintings Maggie....I'm going to enjoy "Boomers" - seems there are a lot of very nice and talented folks here.

Dotsie - I'll gladly post something about my "travels" to the point where I am now and how I found my publisher....I'll also include my experience with my former literary agent - a lesson in "don't go with the inexperienced agent" !!!!!!
