That's just about what it amounts to. I've had it at work with the crazy attorney and her antics. Losing stuff (credit cards, money, check books, keys, phones, blackberry, pens, her car!, etc.), blaming others, denying fault, throwing stuff, cursing, leaving food on the floor, forcing me to pick up files from her floor b/c she can't hand them to me, hissy fits with balled fist, late, yelling, etc.

So, I found another job begining June 1st. Gave my notice today. Hope the new job works out. Although its a 9% pay raise, my medical cost more and I have to pay for 1/2 parking. I still come out ahead with $. Pushes to another tax bracket, thus more taxes and possible bit more of a return.

Current employer not happy, they never really are, tho.

Good for you Mustang, there is absolutely no reason for anyone to be so nasty to someone trying to help them. Good for you for refusing to take her crap, or those employers either.

Thanks gals. Of course there is a double standard b/c I was told that if I don't give 2 weeks notice I would lose my remaining benefits. I've given 2 weeks notice and am not allowed to take any PTO. Another woman gave 2 weeks notice to take another job and she's allowed to use her PTO. The woman I work for is so hateful, I've had to cancel medical appointments to accomodate her, while she does not. She is hateful and vindictive. She will make my last 2 weeks hell. Three other folk know that too and have suggested that I continue to be diplomatic and with my usual decorum -- walk out with class.

Fingers crossed the new job works out. I will learn and be diligent, not involved in office politics, gossip nor drama. Nose to the grind.

Good for you. I can't imagine who they will get to fill your shoes. Why do bosses think they can get away with treating others that way?

I had a boss once, who, each time he handed us our checks, thanked us for working for him! What a gem! He was so appreciative of our hard work.

Thanks! I feel so frazzled and burnt out - coming to work with this crazy gal has depleted my energy and I don't feel as sharp. I've been forgetful and tired. I hope the new job will be more of a learning environment.

Also, I informed by 2 HR folks on May 14 that I'd receive my vacation pay today. Now, I have to wait 2 weeks for the next pay period. Typical legal jargon.

I can see why this thread is called Chicken poop. Companies like that one are knee deep in the stuff.
