Your success stories bouy me. My decision was not made rashly. I wanted to do this a year ago but went along with my doc to rule out any and all cancerous problems that may be occurring and to be as conservative as possible in treatment.

He now admits we are at the end of the line as far as options.

Julie, I understand the popping pain pills problem. One day it came on sos strong and so unepected I had to leave work because I could not take anything strong enough to work and still stand up.

I drove home doing Lamaze breathing, got home, took a percosette and laid down. It barely touched the pain but did provide a bit of relief.

Can the surgical pain be as bad as this monthly agony? Maybe pschologically it helps to know the pain will get better and not come back.

I was in pain three weeks out of every month and finally had everything yanked. It made me feel like a new woman. No more periods, cramps, and all the other wonderful things that went along with it. Never regretted my decision

Lynn, don't worry about the post surgical pain. They'll give you medicine for that and it won't last that long. Plus, once that's gone, you're pain free.
