I've been saving some of my poems, with the same thought as you, Chatty. You do know we have to figure that anyone could copy and steal these poems...but I really don't think that would happen. Frankly, I don't think there is a market for poem books. You would know that better than I do, though.

Chatty, What restrictions? Cute poems.
Edelweiss3, Cute poems.

Words: Oak, oar, oasis, oat

On Daddy's farms,
Stood many oak trees,
And a couple ponds,
We kids enjoyed freely.

There was a small canoe,
Plus, a wooden oar,
That farm was our oasis,
When life suddenly became a war.

Wheat 'n oat, corn 'n hay,
Daddy fed his animals,
Aplenty, each 'n every day.

Yours too Jabber... Oh, and I said, "letter" restrictions. I meant not doing what we are doing here, just using certain letters of the alphabet.

That is when and if I write a book of poetry to be published.

Here are some P's.

pa, pabulum, pace, pacemaker

Poor pa so old, he can barely get to his feet,
He use to be such a strong man, watching him dance was a treat.

His lucid thoughts seem to be floating in oblivion,
he can't chew his food, so we feed him baby pabulum.

When a young man, he'd meet me at school, and home we'd race,
those were the good old days before time slowed his pace.

Yep my dad use to be a wild man, a real shucker and shaker,
now at age 96, just to keep his heart beating he wears a pacemaker.

No matter the trouble or the work he is now,
I pray he'll live forever to the good Lord, as I bow.

pa, pabulum, pace, pacemaker

My pa was a gifted writer,
And a poet to boot.
He wrote poems that were lighter,
And lift you up, they were a hoot.

His pace was fast and easy,
His topics were not pubulums.
They were cute and a bit teasy,
Clever and never dumb.

Like a pace maker, he’d catch a skipped beat.
Guide you along; make you tap your feet.
Rhythm was in his blood, whether a poem or song,
I could listen to my pa recite all day ‘n night long.

Chatty,
I didn't catch the "letter" in your restrictions sentence. I'll have to do the "Ps" later or tomorrow. Gotta go visit sick people now. Ciao! Cool poem of p's.

EW,
Cool poem. Pabulum or pubulum...whatever!

It shows pabulum in my dictionary. No other spelling shown. No such word as pubulum that I can find anywhere...

Words: Pa, pabulum, pace, pacemaker

Pa fed me pabulum that nourished the mind,
For an exemplary lifestyle he left behind.

Pa worked at a pace, which put heads in a spin,
Nascar's pacemaker wasn't faster than him.

With a word 'n a handshake, Pa got loans from a bank,
Respected by all, no one worried 'bout pranks.

To my Dad, I doth dedicate this rhyme,
Part of you will live on in me,
Now 'n forever, 'til the end of time.

Almost afraid to see what the Q's will bring us to work with. Here we go:

(2)quack, quadrangle, quadrant, quadrilateral... OMG!

I have a friend who calls himself Doc Mac,
but he's nothing more than a quack.
He gives out a useless diagnosis, a cure he does lack,
His finding are as silly as a duck speaking in quack.

From here I can't see the right angle,
of the area encased by the quadrangle.

Hold up the map to the planes pilot to see,
so he can use the quandrant to find the right spot.

He needs to see how he's flying, are we topsy turvy,
or is he quadrilateral and should we worry?
