Well, we finally decided we needed to be on Facebook.

Check us out! Warning: I'm still learning this but so far at least we are there!

Hmmm, never heard of that. See? I'm so new to this I don't know what I am doing!

Edited to add: I just found it. But it costs, right? Or am I reading that wrong??

Di, look at my fan page
http://www.fbook.me/meredithbead

Free! (unless you want to take out an ad)

You don't want a group page, you want a fan page. You set it up from your home page. Click on "ads and pages" in the left-hand column, then "create a page."

That's good, Di,

I found your FB fan page and joined. NOW you need to put a little link on your web site that says "Fan us on Facebook," with a link. Once visitors do this, then they get regular messages on their FB page when you post to the fan page... Which helps you keep yourself in front of them, which encourages sales...

It would also be good to consider a Twitter account and a LinkedIn page..

This social media stuff can be very confusing to start with, but it can really help you sell... And that's why you have a product line and a website, right?

Do you think we ought to consider offering a workshop on how to use social media to increase your website profits?

This is something I have trained on extensively, and I know how confusing it was for me BEFORE I had my training...

Yes, workshop would be great.

The Facebook thing is still confusing, but thanks to Meredith, I've at least gotten it started.

Twitter I am not interested in, actually. I was on there once and just do not have the time to dive into it. Facebook was, at least, a little bit easier. I just don't know how people have time to do all that. We are a two man operation and we have plenty to keep us busy ALL the time! Our business takes us away 3-4 days/week plus orders online and restocking and wholesale orders. SO, I'm up to my ears...loving it of course!

Linked in either. I'll stick to Facebook for now!

Hi Di,

Ok, great!, I'll do a Survey Monkey survey to find out how many of our BWS and NABBW members would be interested in learning more about social media, and what they want to know how to use.

The latest tool, that I'm still playing with is called Foursquare, and it's a tool that's very valuable IF you are promoting a destination business, like an inn, B&B, restaurant, or shop.

I've just started dabbling into it, but found an article that explains how some businesses are using it successfully. I don't know whether your retail store in New Mexico would benefit from this or not. But here's a link to find out more about it:

[url=Here's an interesting article about how 5 Brands Are Mastering the Game of Foursquare http://bit.ly/9hvLZW [/url]

Cheers!
