The fact daddy named every animal and cow,
Is why he never butchered, even a sow.
Pa kept chickens, horses, and cats that meowed,
But he kept no turkeys, guess he didn't know how.

Well, today is Thanksgiving, and I'm pleased to say,
I met all of you here, in a really unique way.
We're off the cuff poets, rhymers, and clowns,
Now it's time to eat chow, on the outskirts of town.

I've so much to be thankful for,
It'd take too long to list,
More than I noted before,
When addressing a subject like this.

God be with you, and those you love'n hold dear,
Have a great Thanksgiving and an even better year!
