As I stated before,
post when less is more.

Till you do we will cover this thread,
please know this is true, no ones mad at you,
we love you more when you are here we've said.

This is a busy and hectic time,
who has the time to make words rhyme?

Most are pulled this way and that way, hither and yawn,
sometimes I'm up baking until after dawn.

I wrote out sixty Christmas cards, and sent them away,
praying the address's put upon them is where they'll stay.

Holidays are expensive and leave me near broke,
when I think of what these holidays cost it almost makes me choke.

Well it's back to my baking, cleaning and such,
I'd be rich in my old age if I had someone to go dutch.

Even when it sounds like I'm complaining to the hilt,
If I couldn't make my friends happy my spirit would wilt...

And a day's work, drags into the night,

CHRISTMASTIME

Christmastime, Christmastime, brightly lit lights,
Parties are everywhere, lastin' long through the nights.

I love seeing Christmas trees,
Lining shopping malls and stores,
And traveling highways and byways,
Viewing Christmas trees galore.

I'm so grateful the Virgin Mary,
Birthed Jesus so long ago,
In a manager surrounded,
With criters, we love and admire so.

From the bottom of my heart,
I express hardy and happy ado,
To each and every member at Dotsie's site,
Have a wonderful Christmas,
And blessings the whole year through.

You had better be good cause if you're bad,
Santa will bring you something really ugly and sad.

You won't be a happy camper, in fact you'll be mad,
asking your mom, "what's up," then quizzing your dad.

Parents say get dressed, wear your Christmas plaid,
you say "nope," I will not follow that fad.

They threaten to send you to your room for being rude just a tad,
you sit in your room shocked by the coal in your stocking, wishing you'd been a better behaved lad!

The moral of my rhyme is that it's never too late to learn your lesson and be a good kid, like I bet you wish you had...

Christmas me once
Christmas me twice
Whether I've been
Naughty or nice

Stuff my stocking
Hanging so straight
Full of goodies
I promise I'll wait

Wrap up my gifts
In glitz and shine
Top them with bows
Make them look fine

Pass me some nog
Singing a song
With the right tune
You won't go wrong

This is the season
For fun and glee
That means you must
Re-mem-ber me

God bless our soldiers, women and men,
God bless their families,
God bless their friends.

God bless our soldiers,
girls and the boys,
God bless each one,
Wherever they're deployed.

Christmastime is a hard time,
To be away from home,
Wandering foreign lands,
And dodging bullets as they roam.

Stop here frequently,
No contributions have I seen.
But poetry I've spotted,
Roundabout thy awesome site,
Elsewhere and in-between.
So The Holidays are interfering
With boomers' creative plight,
Guess it's okay,
Jesus' birthday takes precedent anyway,
For it's such a Holy Night.

Perhaps poems will reappear,
Bigger'n better after the New Year.
Newly chimed chimes and rhyming rhymes,
And ringing palather, shall gather.

You can depend on me,
for one or two or three.

I promise to be back after the holiday is over,
besides all else I must do I am babysitting a dog named Clover.

He is quite a hand full, weighs about 60 pounds,
he lands on my sofa after jumping leaps and bounds.

Thank God his forever mommy will be here tonight,
thinking of my Christmas tree in his jaws gives me a fright.

Next time I am asked can you babysit baby for me,
I will be sure to inquire what breed he might be.

My home looks so festive with lights and BWS cards on display,
I had an idea to leave them up all the new year, and I just may!

I won't be rhyming here until after the holidays are done,
but count on my being back because this is just too much fun!!!

My brother is out shopping,
And hubby is hanging Miseltoe.
Christmas cake got green topping,
And I’ve tied my last red bow.

Taking a moment to peek in
And see what cha all doing.
Chatty don’t let Rin Tin Tin
Eat up all your cooky rings!

Jabber keeps the place hoppin’
Makes me want to stop and say hi,
Soon my grandkids will keep me boppin’
But I want to first say good-bye.

Hopefully all healthy and content
May the Christmas cheer,
