Hope you feel better today, Eagle.
I awoke this morning to a gray and rainy day, It’s cold, like it is in late November. It’s the worst of summers here, forecasters say, Still the leaves are bright green, not yet amber.
But between the two; sweltering heat or stormy rain, I finally realize, while looking out the window, It’s cool weather that energises and keeps me sane. As I warm my back from the fireplace glow.
Whatever, whatever, whatever the weather may be, It simply helps to see it all quite positively.

A summers cold, an earache, a toothache, lumbago and arthritis too, makes one wonder what ever has come over you.
They say eat more fat, or carbohydrates, or protein, your diet will make you chunky or lean.
To me some discomfort is as it should be as we grow older, taking it all in stride, doing whatever we can helps to feel bolder.
I am happy to be here and take it in stride, as Betty Davis once said, "hang on, it's going to be a bumpy ride."
So when we feel out of sorts, or just plain in a frump, smile and be grateful it was just a little bump, There are those who can't manage, live life in a dump, if you're one of those silly willys, find a window and jump!
Won't it surprise you to look down from above, and see all the people who knew you and all their love...

I'm taking this poem off of here. Because last night I heard a conflicting report to the one I heard in the morning. Therefore, when the mood hits, I'll write a better version. WB and I really don't drink much alcohol at all. So I don't want to sound as if I think it's a good idea. Perhaps another day, I'll be in the poem writing frame of mind!

Time Spins
The sun is shinging, leaves blowing about, Air is colder, of that there's no doubt.
Soon they'll be no color, 'round the birdbath, And no pretty flowerings, on patches of grass.
Frost will cover the ground 'round here, And whitetail deer, will bound about in fear.
Years spin faster than Las Vegas roulettes, New Years, Easter, 4th of July gone...you bet.
Then Halloween, Thanksgiving'n Christmas 'll fly by, Like a parade down Main, on the 4th of July!

Now chatty, my dear, I need a word with you, I know you are upset, maybe even blue. But as the saying goes, you can state what you want, But don’t be angry about it, or rebuke with a taunt.
Politics are like religion, people believe what they believe, If you attack their thoughts, their little heart starts to bleed. The soft spoken word, with respect and understanding, Comes across with greater impact; padded in a cotton landing.
I too left in a huff, in the thread political news, I didn’t expect that. – After all we have our own personal views. But when it gets delicate and we all start flapping our fins, That’s when I click off, and think, don’t need needles and pins.
Many of my posts, I read a few times before I send, It’s easier to prevent hassle then later try to amend. No one needs to agree, otherwise no need for a debate, All we need is to be open-minded, without scorn or even hate.
I tried to say all this in a shorter poem, I tried you see, But it’s a poem, what can I say, I need to word it carefully. So after a pause, till the barmy fumes appease, We shall return, and continue with out valuable abc’s.
