Only difference is, years back stuff was covered up. Those not complying with societal norms stayed in the closet, so to speak. Everything was hush, hush. Nobody tattled. It is an excellent and enlightening read on the subject of evil, in all its overt and covert activities. A book like that, which examines evil in black and white terms, without cover of parable or fairy tale, was very helpful to me in understanding the fine lines between right and wrong. And those garbage magazines are enough to make a person laugh out loud, which I do quite often.
