Excellent Jabber. ! It is amazing how your talent has grown in this thread. Really amazing! Those were hard words. I wrote the following poem a few years ago. SHARING A MOMENT
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO A LARGE SPORTS SHOW AND IGNORED THE BORING GAME ? STARED AT THE PEOPLE SITTING ACROSS THE ROWS, THOUSANDS OF THEM, WITH UNKNOWN NAMES.
A MOMENT IN TIME, TO SHARE AS GUESTS LIKE FLOCKS OF BIRDS FROM FAR AWAY PLACES; GATHER, AND SCATTER, TO RETURN TO NESTS, ALL DIFFERENT BUT ALIKE; WITH NONDESCRIPT FACES.
EACH LIFE UNIQUE; WITH A PAST AND FUTURE, SHARING THE PRESENT IN COMMON INTEREST. SEEKING DISTRACTIONS FROM PURSUING LIFES NUTURES; GAMES OF SURVIVAL, TORN FROM MOTHERS BREAST.
EACH INDIVUELL SET ON HIS COURSE IN CONTROL , OUT OF CONTROL, WHATEVER: YEARNING FOR RELIEF IN STRANGER' S SCORES TO FORGET, AND TO ENJOY ANOTHER MAN'S ENDEAVOR. Here are 4 new words: last, hovering, welcome, hope

Jabber, I agree with Edelweiss, your ability to weave words together is amazing.
I have no idea why, but I just kept forgetting to check this thread and haven't been here since Christmas! These poems are wonderful. Edelweiss and Chatty, I found your poems about energy and tides to be particularly enriching...it's as if I wasn't meant to read them until now, because the message is especially pertinent in my life today.
I have to gather my mental energy to come up with another poem...maybe later...but I'm enjoying this thread more than words can say.

At last the morning dawns again, The night has been so long, The light that ripples through the blinds Brings courage rising strong.
Beneath the clutter of the storm That nags and binds my mind, I know that all these hovering clouds Will dissipate in time.
I must be strong, and welcome hope And trust that Light will play Amongst the little wisdom gems That hide within this day.
New words: mail, Elvis, burning, veil

Today I sailed out the door, to pick up a magazine in the MAIL.
Tripped and fell on my pelvis, while reading about the once King, ELVIS.
Brought back that old yearning, I could feel my heart BURNING, remembering how the King did sing.
I wore a black VEIL, when in church that sad day, The King was dead and had gone far away.
Even though he's afar, King ELVIS is a twinkling star.

I’m sitting here at my desk, With spaghetti stains on my shirt, Watching a monkey on the television Wearing a tiny purple skirt.
Why do they have to do such things And call it entertainment? I’d rather be at BWS Enjoying true delectation.
New words: pool, shimmer, flame, whisper

Thanks Lola,…we love an audience,…right ladies?
New words: pool, shimmer, flame, whisper ( This word selection is fantastic Eagle. Thanks for making this so much fun. )
Do you remember those loving nights, When just a touch would give you a shiver? Flickering flames, soft candle lights, Refections in the pool would shimmer.
He would whisper tenderly in your ear, And the words made your heart soar. Your biggest wish was to have him near, You never wanted him less, only more.
Now you see him in his comfy chair, Reading his newspaper, spectacles on. His tan is sallow, white and thin his hair, I touch his arm, the tenderness isn't gone
Passion? No. It isn't the same. Wish that weren't really the case. But when he calls me, that special nick name, I pull out that negligee with the creamy silk lace.
New words relics, save, waste, end

Edelweiss, that was pure silk & sensuality, made me shimmer with deep joy for knowing exactly what you're talking about.

It’s a cold wintry day, white snow and skies so grey, I’m snuggled into my longjohns To chase the chills away.
Sitting on the bedroom floor, fingering through treasures stored in a long-forgotten box that hubby found behind the attic door.
Each relic I touch holds stories I hear echos of joy and worries I weep for the end of time and wasted chances For the loved ones whose lives once flourished.
The treasures speak silence and laughter Of voyages, weddings and happily-ever-afters, I soak in the pleasure of visiting each loved one Imagining their souls peeking from rafters.
Some of the relics seem to have more to say, I cannot rewrap them away I find a sweet spot on the mantle Where they already feel they should stay.
I wrap all the others in bubbles And carefully repack them without trouble And hubby returns them to storage In the attic amongst the other precious rubble.
New words: attic, basement, kitchen, closet
