New words: computer, friend, enemy, feeling

The computer, 'tis my best friend, these days,
Or, it certainly seems like that anyways.

The PC gives no cause to perceive,
Any weird-type feeling to overcome me.
It's sure not to stab me in the back,
Or accuse me of being a person of lack,

A human, ofttimes, in the blink of an eye,
Turns into an enemy and causes me to cry.

Computers, now they're just a machine,
With no ill intentions or desire to demean.

Newest words: Bottlecap, gurgle, pamper, wolfman
If these are too hard, feel free to pick your own then.

Bottlecap, gurgle, pamper, Wolfman

Be happy and have yourself a drink,
Whether under a cork, a tap, or sink.
If that liquid, which you are 'bout to partake,
'Tis beneath a bottlecap, for goodness sake,
Pop the top, truly enjoy,
For life is short, whether you're a girl or boy.

Doesn't matter if you're a baby, who can gurgle,
Or a grownup on horseback, jumping a hurdle.

You might be a Wolfman, a preacher, or a deacon,
Makes no difference, you're still a worldly beacon.
So pamper yourself, open all of life's doors,
You're given seven score 'n eight, and not much more.

Easier words????

Sat down on the bar stool next to a lush,
swilling booze down his throat with a GUSH.

At first I thought I was having a NIGHTMARE,
Until I felt the cold from his spilled beer.

His ass hit the floor with an astounding crash,
He didn't stay down but jumped up to REHASH.

To me all drunks intimidate,
being sloppy and dangerous to the ULTIMATE.

Well, you didn't have any problem! That's a fun poem.

Words: sacrifice, concentrate, elbow, grasshopper

A pretty young thing walked into a bar,
Close to home, the walk wasn't far.
She ordered a grasshopper, mixed drink, you know,
It was greener than green, it almost glowed.
The color, it nearly made her frown,
But she bent her elbow, and swallowed it down.

The alcoholic content, went straight to her head,
She was unable to concentrate, or snap a thread.
Good sense, you see, 'twas the sacrifice,
A fuzzy mind is a heavy price,
Even on lady's night, when drinks are free,
The cost is stiff, when you lose your dignity!

New words: light, fluffy, smile, joke

You and your poem madame are AWESOME!!!!!! Really, it took my breath away.

Went to the laundromat as my clothes were all scruffy,
Added Sunshine softener to make them nice and FLUFFY.

Across the room sat a man puffing on a stoke,
the smell was discusting, which to me was no JOKE.

Tried to cover my nose, turned away from his sight,
But he saw me and laughed, of it, tried to make LIGHT.

The woman in charge rushed up the aisle,
sprayed water on his cigar while sporting a SMILE.

She told him, look up and read the sigh above you Fred,
it says, "no smoking" or we'll dump water on your head!

words, statue, husband, factor, caloric

As my imagination, doth run totally wild,
I see a statue of my husband,
In the town square, and I smile.
Then I go on to wonder,
What factor there was 'bout the man,
Which caused townspeople to erect
A remembrance so grand.
Was he a writer or restuarant king?
Was he a chef? Im' wondering.
Had he concocted recipes
with low caloric content?
Or had he built a village,
of beautiful houses to rent.

Owe, tow, quick, classic

Here’s a classic case of a bad day.
It started at the dock of the bay.

I wanted to take a quick skinny dip
Before the sun revealed my naked back flip.

Swimming along, I held my boat in tow;
in case I felt queasy, or my energy low.

I saw my mean lender, to whom I owe,
A bundle of money, yeah I mean dough.

He stood on the dock in his three piece suit,
And cried, “You’re gonna drown, or give me your loot!”

“I don’t have any money!” I sputtered from the shore.
“But you can have my boat, and that’s even worth more!”

I tossed the rope from my dinghy onto the peer,
The man jumped in and into the sunrise disappeared.

But that’s not the worst, I’m afraid to utter,
I left my dry clothes right next to the rudder.

New words:
Cancel, blush, forever, stigma

Ed3,
We have a nightclub called "Dock of the Bay," here on the Lake Erie shoreline. I love that place. Great poem.
Thanks Dotsie for taking time to read the stuff our imaginations dream up! It's a whole lot of fun developing poems from other
people's words. Try it. You'll like it.

cancel, blush, forever, stigma

I had to cancel my ordered lunch,
And that made me blush, a whole bunch.
When women need to change their mind,
No stigma should be associated, of any kind?
If men reverse a decision of their's,
Folks' think they're forever smart 'n wise,
So, why when women change their mind,
Are they not as smart as the other guys?

P.S. I'm thinking perhaps somebody else would
enjoy taking a crack at these words; so,
I'll let them stand for a while! LOL...
