Summer's almost here
At least for some
Who live in warm climes
And soak up the sun

But oh, how we suffer
Once summer is here!
It gets so darn hot
It could dry up your beer!

Fry eggs on the sidewalk
Or so they do say
I never have tried it
For inside I stay

Well I'm here to tell you the story is true,
eggs fry on the sidewalk, you can scramble them too.

I personally wouldn't eat anything off the ground,
but it's fun to hear them frying, listen to the sound.

Now we're happy, it's sunny but not too hot,
soon we will be blistering, losing all the fluids we got.

I myself know how to keep cool,
I float beneath the water in a lagoon shaped pool,
that's right I stay in water or air-conditioning;
I'm no fool.

Spring is here!
The time of year
We know we must
Exchange the dust
By opening all the windows.

The wind doth blow;
No rain, no snow
To clean the air.
So just beware
The pollen is coming! Achoo!

Love reading these poems,
You gals are totally cool,
Will be home tomorrow,
May think up a poem too.

Weather in Florida was fantastic,
'fore we went to stay.
Then guess what we found,
It got cooler everyday.
As we got ready to leave,
Temps started warming up,
Soon it'll be hotter than Dutch love,
And we'll be out of luck!

Well, here at home it's 32 degrees,
With unending snowflakes riding the breeze.
On second thought I'd rather have strong winds,
And temps hovering the 70s!

It's so hard to write a poem or anything else for that matter,
when upon my desk is a frisky Chihuahua growing fatter.

So glad to hear Jabber is on her way home,
this poetry thread sat dorment and almost alone.

Not sure how your weather will be once you are home,
sometimes it's best to stay put and refuse to roam.

Soon all will be back to normal, well rested and at peace,
you will be in the midst of it and all questions will cease.

It will be great to see you back in our BWS cyber space,
it may not be a palace filled with royalty but it's our special place.

An RV'ing Vacation

Though it's fun to getaway,
For a little rest and relaxation,
Seems we always forget,
How much work it takes, goin' on vacation.

Ridin' across such grand countryside,
Travelin' along our great by and by,
And viewing never before seen places,
Always puts huge smiles on both our faces.

Here's praying you too, live in the present,
Don't waste a moment, enjoy every second,
Take time to smell those flowering roses,
That the Good Lord's created, right under your noses.

Dancing Spirit

As "Dancing with the Stars," starts its twelfth season,
I've been contemplating the show's popularity,
What on earth doth seem to be the reason?

Since too much turmoil is disrupting global peace,
It's apparent the art of dancing,
Brings certain comfort within reach.

Wishing to dance, half as good as a pro,
I'm assuming others' share similar feelings,
Though, I really don't know.

Shedding light on why so many tune-in,
When "Dancing With The Stars," series begins,
Perhaps we should credit Carrie Ann, Bruno, and Len.

Critiquing stars' styles, movements, and grace,
They'll be again putting their show,
Atop the ratings and into first place.

They say, Kirstie Alley and The Karate Kid shine,
I confess it's more than they'll say,
'bout any dancing of mine!!!

Take a little time,
To rhyme a smallish rhyme,
You'll light up someone's day,
No matter what you say!!!
LOL...

Bummed Out

Taffy and Daisy are goin' crazy,
Wanting a morning walk, especially Ms. Daisy.

But we need to care for the babies' feet,
These dogs' are like kids, oh so sweet.

Sitting in the drive, bark, bark, bark,
Unhappy with the folks not walking in the park.

We'll walk 'em when the tempature gets warm,
But for now they'll complain, creating a storm.

At this current time, it's much too cold,
And babies must do what babies are told.
