If you believe in the dragon and mermaid,
Then I don't know quite what to say,
Think I'd tiptoe 'round your contemplation,
Moving quicker, as opposed to hesitation.

Wondered if they were after my HEART or my head.

Have some NOVELTY merchandise that's very saleable,
if you buy, then through us, it will become MAILABLE.

Heard the shotgun ring out through the clouds,
Saw two muppets protected by shrouds.

Oh my goodness, would you look at that,
Someone shot the muppets, all covered in burlap!

New words:
Query, worry, proposals, scripts

Wrote to QUERY some publishers about a book,
was afraid and began to WORRY there wasn't a good hook.

Glad to say well received was the PROPOSAL,
Otherwise the SCRIPT might have ended up in the disposal.

Life is hard, and then you die!!!

My dear poet friends. Just want to let you know that my time is so limited lately. I can't join you as often as I would like to. But when I have a chance I peek in to see what clever poems you have come up with.

I know what you mean. My time is limited too, for I'm reworking
a manuscript that Sandpiper is going to publish. But I'll bop
in when I can, and do whatever time allows!

I would like to go back to simply composing a poem without using the four word principal. That gets boring to me after awhile. Sorry, but it just does.

Edelweiss and Jabber, a little time with you two is worth eons with most folks...

I have two best friends that work so hard,
inside the house and outside in their yards.

They make the beds and prepare the meals,
while selling Real Estate or making book deals.

When free time they have they pop in to post,
When they do stop in, raise your glass for a toast.

The sites new owners will enjoy when they give of their time,
with their elequent words that never cease to create a rhyme...

That's wonderful!

Fine with me, what's fine with you,
Whatever you say, whatever you do,
Give the words, don't give the words,
Rhyme specifics or the unspecified.
Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I cry,
Whatever emotions spill from inside,
I love to write poems, with all you guys!

I wonder and ponder how some can be so dense,
never taking a stand just sitting on the fence.

Some issues are life thresatening to me and to you,
why wait till it's too late and you find yourself in the stew.

I believe in free speech for woman and man,
honesty will win out and should be our ultimate plan.

Think you don't understand me, wonder what I mean,
can't really explain it to you without causing a scene.

So like all the others who don't get it, have no caring,
I'll go back to reading posts, telling jokes, just not sharing.

Poetic Political Ponderings

The word of the wise is said in a soft tone.
Not bellowed out through a huge megaphone.
For when it gets too loud or down right smug,
People don’t listen; they sweep words under a rug.

I live in a country with government health care.
It’s liberating; - not Communism! - It’s protective care!
You say there is no money to heal the poor sick,
I say there is no money for the bombs that tick tick.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.
For a moment put aside animosity, and really try to think.
Medical care shouldn’t be about money; for money really stinks.
Medical care prevents crime to buy medicine; - not minks.

Many of you have hearts for your dearly loved pets.
Many of you wouldn’t hesitate to bring them to vets.
But when a poor human soul suffers in dying pain,
You don’t want him helped? Why I think that’s insane.

I gladly pay taxes to my government, 50% or more,
For sick people don’t beg here in front of closed hospital doors.
It’s my way of giving and sharing for those who have not,
This is the true Christian way; this is what I’ve been taught.

I have made a small attempt to write this in poem form,
Hoping it will be read, - sorry if it was too long.
But if I could change only one of your set minds,
Then it was worth the effort to have written these very lines.
