I have heard thats the reason mice are used, these are the same kinds of mice some of our kids have as pets and they are adorable little things. What a shame the way they are treated by society, fed alive to snakes. And 'so-called' science uses them in so many totally unnecessary, and horrific experiments...

Once in college, I wrote a piece for my literature class called:

SILENT SCREAMS

About the life and death of a family of white mice. It was fiction but unfortunately based on reality.
