I had an occasion recently where I found that the use of my sentence displayed an oxymoron without my even realizing it. A friend thought I had written it that way on purpose. Wish I could take credit for it, but no.

It gave me pause and what I discovered is that we use them SO much in our daily talks. So I thought it would be fun to list a few "eye-openers" here. Jump in if you think of any. Here's a few:
