I see that string, or what I thought was a topic, right when I fist click into the Forums, but then when I sign in.... hello, it's gone and I can't find it. Could it be that it saw me coming and it doesn't want to accept any long, drawn out run-on sentences from me?
I think I'm redefining. I'm allowing/making myself step out in faith to do something very different in my life.

Hmmm..when I click on it, I go straight to the post. Try going to the main forum (the front/homepage of the forums) and look under the second heading...it should say Re-defining Life. Click on that...then click on the second post under it. Does that work for you?

Nope, still didn't work for me.... but I'm more concerned about you and your dog... OMG, I'm so sorry. I've lost two dogs in my adult life, one quite by accident and I L.O.V.E.D. my dog, he was a big black German Shepherd, very scary looking if you didn't know him but the biggest baby. I think that I got a huge lump in my throat for probably 20 years every time I would think about it. And later we had to put down the female German Sheperd that we had gotten for him because she developed hip problems that made her just miserable every time she moved. And our kids... yeah, the same kids that told her to get out of the way, stop bugging them, quit following them, mooooveeee, yeah THOSE kids.... they cried and cried and cried and looked at me with complete contempt when I had to leave her with the vet after she was gone. Very mean children.

So... all that to tell you that I feel your pain and I'm so sorry. Talk about phantom limb syndrome... that's probably how you'll feel for a long time. (Aren't I the cheery one?)

So my wonderful "I'm redefining myself" pitch is being overshadowed by the tedium of looking at houses to rent. They're either awful, or filthy, or too much money for the house, or there's only one bathroom, which would never work.... or... a great house in a really crummy area. There was a wonderful house with only one bathroom on a really quiet street, so quiet that I feel like we'd bee way too intrusive to live there, so that's out. Then there was another one... really large and if we didn't mow the lawn for oh, I don't know, three months or so, WE'D be the ones with the GREAT yard....get the picture? Surely we will be blessed with something in between.

Dotsie, below is a screen shot (poor, for sure) of a thread you started under the Re-defining Life forum on 10/28/08.
I (and I'm sure others) can see the forum and access the thread IF I'm (we're) not signed in. (Note the arrowed items in screen shot.)
Once I sign in, the Re-defining Life forum is not visible. Hope you don't think us rude if we don't contribute to your "What makes you happy?" question - some of us can't respond due to inaccessibility. I think JJ explained it above... you and she have access, but some (possibly the rest of us) don't...

I'm puzzled as to why you're bringing this up again?

JJ, I just took that print screen today, this morning, immediately before I posted the image... it isn't gone... at least, not on my forum list when I'm not signed in. Can any one help. For some reason all the posts under "Polite Political Ponderings' are being delivered directly to my regular e-mail. No other topics do it. Any ideas on what I did to cause that to happen or how to get it to stop? Thanks

Try this...go to MY STUFF at the top of the page. Scroll down and click on WATCH LIST. There should be three headings in there.

Watched Forums Watched Topics Watched Users

Click in one of those and see if you have that particular post under one of these. If you do, click on it and you should get a screen where you can click inside a box and remove it.
