Hey all, I've been out of commission for the last four or five days because my oldest son is in the hospital. He had gall stones, which we thought at first were kidney stones. His gall bladder was so diseased the doc said it looked like one you would see in an 100 year old, not a 30-something year old. He is in a lot of pain and had to have two operations. One to remove what they call "sludge" from his bile ducts, intestines, and pancreas, the second one the next morning to remove the gall bladder.

I'm between keeping the grandchildren and going back and forth to the hospital when someone can help out and watch the grandchildren for a bit.

I will be back in touch when he is home and out of danger. Prayers please? He's such a fine young man and his wife is adorable. I ache for them watching their faces and understanding their angst.

But God has answered my prayers and watched over Tommy and brought him from danger. It was so severe, we were all holding our breath for a while...even the doctors.

I'll be back!

I'm about to leave here and will be shutting down. Word is that Tommy was sent down this am for x-rays because they're afraid he may be getting a touch of pneumonia...also, with his levels remaining high, they're doing a scan to see where we are with the pancreas...so things may not be as rosy as I first assumed. I'll be in touch and please tell others how grateful I am for their thoughts and prayers.

I'm leaving now for the hospital.

Oh JJ, holding your son in my prayers. Gosh, he is getting the gambit. You take care of yourself too, looks like your DIL will need you for a while.

Your son must have been suffering yet the fact he waited so long must mean he has a strong constitution and spirit.
From now on in he will start to recover..
You are all in my prayers.

JJ of course you have my prayers for you and your family, especially your son. My goodness he really has had a bad time of it. He must have been in pain or had problems for some time. I feel so badly for you all.

Please, during all of this remember to take care of yourself also. It does no one any good when the mommy of the clan is sick because she's the glue that holds everything together. Prayers to you my dear.
