thank you for your understanding. It really is hard, but I know she had a good long life and I know I did the right thing for her. Before she had the procedure, I spent a long time with her holding her and talking to her, about what a good dog and friend, and a protector and a stalwart spirit she was,told her about all I appreciated in our lives together- and I wanted her passage to be easy. She was very medicated but we did connect in her eyes and I think she gave me permission to do what needed to be done- she was just so sick and hurting, it was such a painful thing. But she was true to her last, a good true friend. Everyone that has a pet should know that kind of love, it's not like any other.
