Di, I am concerned about one aspect of this delivery, Maybe I've misunderstood but did you say Munchie will be delivering outside? Do you mean out of doors? If so, thats a BIG NO, NO. She must be kept safe inside, clean, warm and quiet. All sorts of things can hurt a new born pup. Not my business for sure, but you did ask and I am a protector of all animals, so this made me cringe...

Oh she is fine, Chatty. It is nice and warm here...DH knows how to do this, promise!!

We are animal lovers as well...don't worry. We're overly protective. Besides, animals give birth in the wild all the time!!

From my memory the farm dogs who did deliver outside went under buildings .Cannot remember ever seeing puppies in open air but clever Mother found safe shelter.

We have safe shelter. They will be under cover, very cushy and safe and not out in the elements.. PROMISE!

Additionally, we paid BIG BUCKS for these dogs. Please don't think we don't know how to care for them! And they are ranch dogs...which means tough, working dogs. Not "foo-foo" dogs.

But, Di, with all due respect, you posted asking for information.

And I, for one, took my time to write to you to offer help and advice.

And now, since you've gotten my advice and the advice of others, your saying, "please don't think we don't know how to care for them!"

And bashing "foo-foo" dogs? God's little creatures - breeds belonging to others on this site.

Just because some of us don't have the "Big Bucks" to buy our pets does not mean that they are not priceless to us.

God help Munchie and her babies. Also, Chattie is correct.
A beloved "pet" dog delivers inside where she is safe and so are her pups. Wild dogs deliver outside and we have no way of knowing how many die. They breed often because so many pups are lost. That's nature.

All that is important here is that Madame Munchie and her babies are healthy, happy and "safe." Thats all anyone was saying. We ALL love our pets...Please keep us posted on the happy event.
