Well Dots, that's why we had to scrub them. Mom would say, "See those Dots!" No wait, maybe she was saying, "spots." You think?

Defrost. You mean you all don't still do that? Am I the only one in here who still uses ice trays to make ice?

I have a deep freeze that I defrost once a year. I have ice trays, but I don't freeze water in them to often. But...I freeze tea & lemonade in them from time to time to add to the tea and lemonade drinks, instead of regular ice. Does that count?

Scrub walls? HUH??? Are those words, like, ancient Swahili or something? I really don't understand what this thread is about!

Well, none of you do alot of stir-frying?

Occasionally we have to wipe walls close to the stove because of this.

That's all.

Eagle, my sister and I killed our fridge that way one time...thankfully Mama bought a frost free one then.

Hey...I have ice trays...and no dishwasher...and an old timey fuse box...geez...gotta go get water from the stream...well...the rest of it is true!

When my kids were small, I had them help me wipe down the walls spring and fall. They got pretty nasty if we didn't.

Little boys hands are always dirty.

I have washable paint so I don't have to repaint too often.

I don't scrub my walls anymore. My grubby handed kids grew up.

I steam clean bathroom and freshen all the rooms with emulsion paint when I feel it needs doing. I do big cleans and then have time to do the fun things.
I sense I am old fashioned in clearing/cleaning but its inbuilt...Scottish Protestant work ethic...its in the genes.
