Hannelore, I've seen that type of thing via Macintosh Apple iPhoto. That is a vey nice gift. And the price seems so reasonable. Every time I visit my parents, which is not too often, I organize their pics for them. The best part is that I get to edit what goes in, or out. For example, there was one pic of me in my "fat" phase at age 14. I decided to allow it into the album because it was a piece of herstory. My favorite was assembling my mother's pictures from the 50s. Her nickname was "Venus" and I could see why. She looked like a glamorous movie star. She had a flair for fashion, but only on sale. She could make the cheap look chic. Some pics of her were so great that a collection of them I had to put into a collage frame. My problem at home is that I have too many pics of my doggies, who are my favorite subjects and best entertainment! Kathleen, what did you mean by those pictures being a trigger?

I have tons of fabulous pics of my mom and dad but no way to upload or scan them. So I'll enjoy seeing yours.

I know if I looked longer I'd find a better picture, but I think they are all stowed in a box, under my mom's bed. ugh Well I did find this one, taken in 1949...yes that's me in the middle (the one with the white Christening dress). My mother is on the left, then my grandmother and my father. Hey anyone else with pictures????

I started another way to organize some of my pictures...got several boxes and marked each one for someone special (kids, nieces, nephews, etc.) and picked out the ones I thought they would enjoy having in their stash. Copied a few to the folders in my online files and presented the others to them as a special gift. They loved them!

Welcome, Tannermom. Good idea for pics. I have a suitcase full. Old photos look so nice. Black and White not done much anymore. I wonder, do the new cameras have that option?

The pics are wondeful. Hanelore, next month when you've all forgotten about this site I'll have time to find a computer club and get the pics scanned. Good idea!

HANNILORE thats pic is what i love about family pics big circle of warmth and theirs you in the middle pricless.......
if the digital camera dosent have the B&W function then the photo editers do, will turn couler photo's into black and white (look from 60's etc) or if it's their then "sepia" will give you the tones from the age of the photograph like hannilres.... just a sutle diffrence but might be important to someone

Well I thought it was a pleasure in a good photo that way celtic_flame

My husband bought me one of those digital photo frames for our anniversary while we were in NH. I can download and store up to 10,000 pictures in 20 albums in it. It's easy to use. I can download right from the camera card or from the pc. I do still love real hard copy pictures though and photo albums and scrapbooks, but I don't miss the old way of taking pictures. I love digital. I don't miss burning my fingers on flashbulbs or my Brownie camera either But, the old photographs are great. Hannelore, that is one awesome photo! Now that I'm home, I will just have to find something to post here. Louisa
