I'd like to ask you all to pray for my cousin. He's very sick. From what I understand, he has an infection in his brain. They are not sure what is the cause or how to treat it. They are aware he has had some serious sinus problems and they don't seem to know what to do.

He has been asleep for about a week, I believe they might be giving him something to calm him. There is also something about some jerking. I don't have the full picture but would like to ask you all to offer prayers for him.

He is the one, some of you might remember, whose children I had for a time when they lived in Florida. We don't talk anymore or anything, but I definitely don't want him to have medical problems.

This is the best place to ask these requests and I would be honored if you all would offer some prayers for his recovery. Thanks so much dear ones.

I will certainly lift him in prayer. I've heard of some wicked infections lately that antibiotics are having a hard time healing. I hope they find the right medication ASAP.

Sandpiper I certainly will pray for him and that his doctors find the cause and cure. The germs we are fsaced with daily seem to be getting stronger.

Sandpiper,
I too will lift your cousin up in prayer. Every now and again
a person hears of some really scary infections. Hope they find
answers that will help and straightaway!

Thanks so much everyone. I've not heard anything today as to how he is doing. I'm not sure about things. My sister told me that his wife left him the day he entered the hospital and he seemed fine except for a rather high fever. Then about fifteen minutes later a nurse found him barely breathing and blue. They revived him but if his brain was not getting oxygen for that long I'm worried he may have problems now. That's a long time.

Thanks again for your prayers. He has three grown daughters and a 12 year old son. I think he's about 42 years old. I'll keep you updated. Love to all

Sorry to hear about your cousin, Sandpiper. The medical community
gets one problem under control, and then another weird ailment appears. Scientific research has their hands full.

I'm not sure about all of the information I've gotten today. My sister called and told me my cousin had been hooked up to life support. It sounds like they said he had a 103 fever and possible strep throat. I didn't know you could get so many complications from strep throat or rather streptococcal infection. One is worse than the other according to what I found online.

Anyhow, they are going to take him off life support today. The doctors said there was no brain activity. So it looks like he's not going to make it. I am totally stunned. I didn't know it could get this bad.

I'll let you all know more when I find out. Thanks for all the prayers and I'm sure his family will need more.
