greetings to all,

my apologies for not having been in touch recently...classes have become very demanding...6 hours in 5 weeks at the upper division level, with a term paper or research project due in both classes...the upside is this is keeping me so busy i don't have time to think of much else, so my depressive symptoms seem to have lifted for now. again, i want to thank everyone for the great advice: i am now in therapy, meds are helping, and yoga is great idea ( i used to love doing it regularly) if only i had time now. in regard to my classes, i am looking for a mentor, someone with a graduate or doctoral degree in psychology who can offer advice on writing critical analyses of research studies, etc...anyway, overall i am doing well right now, and again, i appreciate everyone allowing me to use this forum to reach out to people for empathy and warmth...the response has been very uplifting and is greatly appreciated.

blessings to all, natalie

Natalie,
I understand where you are coming from, having just graduated from an associate's degree college myself in May, '04. It takes everything you have to keep up with the schedules, assignments, and working besides taking care of a family.
I hope the end result is as satisfying as you wish. I am currently working fulltime as an RN in a local hospital, and enjoy it a lot. It is very rewarding and I have learned so much working here.
Keep up the good work and God bless you.

Natalie,
You might want to contact Daphne Stevens. Her website is http://www.daphnestevens.com/ I would suggest going there because she has a new email address and right off the top of my head, I can't remember what it is. She is wonderful, was a featured Author here a few months back, and is a fountain of info. I'm thinking she would be a great starting point for you!
