Hello & welcome Popea from Ireland. I've never been to Ireland yet but hope to visit someday. My great grandfather was from there. "Top o' the mornin to you"

Welcome popea to this site of extraordinary women. The only Irish saying I know is "May the wind always be at your back."

Welcome! My father-in-law came over to America from Ireland in the early 40's, when he was young. I guess Walsh over there is kind of like Smith over here, very common?

He still has his brogue!

Yuhooooo...Popea! I am tickled to death you are on here and YES! I will be there the end of Sept. for two whole weeks. If I left today, I would be late. I can't wait!

Flying into Dublin...and I'm bringing plenty of blarney...

Welcome to BWS. We hope you will make this your home away from home. The only Irish saying I know now is

May you be in heaven 1/2 hour before the devil knows you're dead...

HELLO POPEA!

WElcome, I am new here too and I am losing site of my other life.

You're from Belfast!? I was so excited when I saw that! My husband and I were there for a year, working for Habitat for Humanity, just got back in December. We lived on Springfield Road and the Habitat office was just up the street. We had building sites in Ligonel, Ballysillan, and Downpatrick! Talk to me. We miss it so much!

JJ can I hide in your suitcase?

Linda
